DAY ONE
Deirdre will cover the principles of cosmetic acupuncture and facial rejuvenation, treatment protocol, needling techniques and contra-indications for treatments. She will discuss cosmetic procedures such as Botox, Laser, Inject able Hyaluronic Acid Fillers (i.e. Restylane) and Surgery. She will cover in depth areas of the face, muscles and the specific acupuncture points used when treating the face with regard to cosmetic acupuncture treatment. This includes body points as well as face points. You will learn how to assess and customise an acupuncture treatment by diagnosing the underlying imbalance in the different organs which are involved in the aging process of the patient. There will be a lot of practical hands on work over the day.
DAY TWO
Deirdre will go over some areas of Chinese Face reading in relation to rejuvenation. You will learn about the Emotional aspect with regard to specific lines on the face and the meaning and cause related to these lines. Deirdre will spend some time on specific acupuncture points e.g. Ghost Points – and the points on the body and face which release them. Facial Massage and Acupressure techniques will also be covered with lots of hand on work.
It is Deirdre’s goal that by the end of the weekend you will feel more skilled and knowledgeable when treating the face with cosmetic acupuncture and feel confident to incorporate Facial Rejuvenation into your practice.
